a jar (any size, any kind. i used a spaghetti sauce jar)
a white candle (for cleansing the jar)
white table salt: purifying
chili powder: fast results
hot sauce: repelling the negativity from the situation
coffee: gives energy to the spell, grounds it in reality
your written intentions
a taglock of the person you wish to affect
garlic: protecting you from any negative outcomes
sun water: growth, changing outcomes, healing
cleanse the jar with the candle’s smoke. add ingredients in order, while visualizing your target and intent. seal the jar, and shake it as hard as you can. whenever you have a toxic encounter with the person, shake the jar asap to recharge the spell.

Listen, sometimes things just happen, and you feel the need to get something done. But what if you’re away from home? In a hotel? Traveling? Well, let me introduce you to my oh sh** spell kit, the to-go spell jar kit that I keep in my car, most of it from the dollar store.
In a shoebox-sized bin, I have:
A package of dollar store small glass jars
Tiny bags filled with basil, parsley, dried orange peel, cilantro, black pepper, salt, sugar, bay leaves, and a few other basic herbs.
White tealight candles
A lighter
A small travel bottle of blessed oil
3 quartz points
A small travel bottle of moon water
2 sticks of incense
A Sharpie
A very small ceramic plate
A metal spoon
A small paintbrush
It’s just enough to do very basic spell jars and very simple burn spells. With the incense and herbs, I can also create back salt, and mix it with moon water to create a powerful ‘paint’ I can use to draw runes or sigils.
I love working my craft in the kitchen. Its where I can focus the best and place my most powerful intentions. These are the most common herbs used for different workings whether its a simmer pot or introduced into your cooking.
stitch sigils or runes into your clothing - use a thread that’s the same colour of the fabric for extra subtlety
use bandanas to veil
display certain items as if they’re just decorative - all of my crystals are on a shelf and when my family asks i just tell them i like crystals! they’ve now assumed i’m a geology nerd lol
look into tea magick! tea is such a powerful tool for witchcraft and simply stirring your tea with intention can be a form of magick
if you wear makeup, paint sigils on your face with your foundation or concealer before blending
similarly if you wear nail polish, paint sigils on your nails
use perfumes or body products with certain scents that correlate to certain meanings e.g my shower gel and body oil are both lavender scented
create a shoebox altar - this makes it small and easy to hide
household herbs and spices can easily be used in spells!!
remember that a pendulum doesn’t have to be a fancy crystal on a chain, any small weight on a string can work just as well
any basic candle can be used in spells
research the correspondences of wearing rings on certain fingers
i love doing kitchen magick!! it’s so easy to incorporate into everyday life without blatantly being a form of magick
house plants can be great in magick
i know i briefly mentioned sigils before but don’t underestimate how powerful sigils can be!!
create small spell jars that you could easily hide
and remember: your craft is uniquely your own. don’t let anyone tell you what is and isn’t required to be a valid witch. i’ve had to be subtle about my practice for years and it’s taken a while for me to realise that i’m just as much of a witch as someone who openly practices.
